Previous time was 6:41 at the same weight. Over two and half minute PR. Rx’d weight was 135#, but I couldn’t do that after doing 2 WODs the day before.

Man maker was dumb bell push up, left arm row, right arm row, and finally squat clean and jerk th dumb bells. I thought I should have done 25#s but 20#s was more than enough. I was only to do 3 at a time. I was trying to do it under 15 minutes. I think my breaks were too long during the Man-Maker/Thrusters. WOD done in a hotel in Ontario, CA.

This WOD was LONG! The Man Makers took the longest time. I was doing sets of 2 towards the end. The Clean and Jerks were pretty good, I wasn’t getting to tired from them. Once I locked out at the top I dropped the weight and went into my next rep. I ended up taking 15-20 second rests between sets of 2 reps of the man makers. I did cheat on some of them, I didn’t do the full squat clean. The Rx’d weight for the WOD was 115# for the Clean and Jerks and 35# for the Man Makers. I think I could have done the Rx’d weight for the C&Js but there was no way I was using 35# for the Man Makers. The buy in was 25 ring pulls, that in itself took 3-4 minutes. Damn buy ins!

Rx’d weight was 135#, but I used 115#. Last time I did this WOD I was just under 5 minutes at 95#. This was way harder. I was struggling on the clean portion of the lift.

The first run was 6 seconds faster than my first 400m in the 6 X 400m WOD a few months ago. My slowest time in the 6 X 400m WOD was 2:26, so there has been some progress. Also, I only had 2 runs under 2 minutes in the 6 X 400m. During the third run I was about to throw up. I did the whole nasty burp, waiting for the rest to come up. Someone I was running by actually turned to look at me mid-run. Good times.
After we did a 1/2 Grace. I did it with 65# pretty easily. My time was 1:09. During this WOD we were not allowed to let go of the bar. We could rest with the bar in the hang position, the rack position or locking it out over head. I should have done 75# or even 95#.
